Solid Lumber vs Solid Wood
DoveTales Furniture is Solid Lumber – meaning that it is made completely with solid hardwood. Other furniture advertises Solid Wood – this means Plywood, Particle board, and composite glue and wood are allowed. So when you inspect furniture look at the backing and the drawer bottoms.  DoveTales is solid hardwood – ¾” solid drawer bottoms, with wood drawer slides; 5/16” strips of hardwood with shiplap joinery on all backings of our case goods.

Personal Choices
DoveTales Furniture provides you with your choice of Wood Species: Oak, Maple, Cherry, Mahogany, Walnut, White Oak, and for each wood species we offer a variety of color stains – or color matching. We also provide you with a variety of hardware selections or you can provide your own specific hardware of choice. We also can customize and alter any of our standard furniture pieces to meet your requirements and desires. We can provide drawers, cabinet space, and alter dimensions. We can also custom build to meet your specific needs.

Options and Features
DoveTales Furniture offers with your selection a variety of options from variety of Glass options on hutches, solid table tops, your choice of table leaves (2, 4); touch lighting, Entertainment Centers, TV Swivels, etc., etc.

Full Line of Furniture
DoveTales Furniture offers you a full line of Dining Room, Bedroom, and Living room furniture. We offer over 200 standard pieces and can build your custom piece of choice. We are a dealer for Manasses Henry Furniture Company, located in Northern Indiana. Manasses Henry has been manufacturing furniture for over 25 years. Our furniture is all made to order and requires a lead time of 10-12 weeks for completion.

Quality Construction
DoveTales Furniture is highly crafted. Handmade in a production environment. Drawers are ¾” thick with solid wooden bottoms with dovetail joinery. Table tops are joined with tonge and groove joints. Table legs are built into the table aprons. Chairs are assembled with mortise and tenon joinery and reinforced to insure they will never become loose. Our standard finish is a hand rubbed lemon oil and beeswax finish – when you touch our furniture you are touching the wood. This finish is moisture resistant and repairable if necessary – scratches can be sanded away and re-oiled, dents can be steamed out and re-oiled. We also offer varnish and tung oil finishes.

DoveTales is a Family Owned Local Independent business. Owned and operated by Susan and Gary Hayes. DoveTales opened in May of 2003. We offer you personal service and personal satisfaction. Our furniture is guaranteed for life under proper use and conditions. Unlike large chains and box stores – we have a personal relationship and direct contact with our manufacturer. Gary travels to Indiana to pickup our furniture orders and delivers the furniture to your home. This means that the furniture you order is always in the possession of the manufacturer, DoveTales, and then to you – our customers.

Pricing
We strive to give you the lowest price possible for this quality furniture. Our price runs approximately 30-40% of the Manufacturers Suggested Retail. We offer an additional 10% off Floor Sales – and 5% off multiple item orders.
